How to make Yorkshire Tea Syrup
Here's how to make a simple tea syrup:
Ingredients:
- 1 Litre water
- 1 Kg caster sugar
- 8 tea bags - adjust amount based on desired strength

Brew the Tea:
- bring the water to a boil. Use a kettle or hot water from the coffee machine
- Remove from heat and add the tea bags or loose leaf tea.
- Steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on the type of tea and desired strength.
- Remove the tea bags .

Make the Syrup:
- put the tea into a saucepan on a medium heat.
- Gradually add the sugar, stirring constantly until it dissolves completely.
- Let the syrup simmer for a few minutes to slightly thicken.
- Remove from heat and let it cool completely.

Store:
- Pour the cooled syrup into a clean, sterilized bottle.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Tips:
- Adjust Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter syrup, you can increase the amount of sugar. For a less sweet syrup, reduce the amount of sugar.
